ART e FACT is an independent feature film being produced in partnership with STUDIO SYNCANDI.  We are seeking talented English speaking actors to join this exciting project.

SYNOPSIS

GENRE: Science fiction, mystery

AUDIENCE: 15+

LOGLINE: In a deceptively idyllic society, a disheartened young singer finds inspiration when her songs help an underground organisation bring about a visionary revolution.

THEMES: ART e FACT is an optimistic story that demonstrates that the only way for a culture to thrive and survive is for it to break free from the tyranny of authority by embracing creativity and criticism. The main character Yu,  personifies this philosophy as she learns to use her creativity to grow from a fearful static person to a free, dynamic person who can think and act rationally. Her personal evolution is mirrored by that of her society. 

Character BIOS

These are all English speaking roles. Native or 80% English proficiency preferred. 

YU | FEMALE | 18 – 25:  (Lead) Her persistent co-dependence and low self-esteem have left her emotionally vulnerable. That is, until she discovers the healing power of her latent creativity. (10 Days)

THE HIPSTER | FEMALE | 18 – 25: A close friend and mentor of Yu. She’s an enigmatic, self-confident, highly intelligent young woman, whose broad knowledge enables her to survive and thrive. (5 Days)

AGENT B | MALE | 20 – 30: With his philosophical, melancholic disposition and conflicted loyalties, his days as a government intelligence agent are numbered. (5 Days)

AGENT A | MALE | 20 – 40: Agent B’s co-worker. Although a loyal agent, he carries out his duties with an ironic and detached attitude. (2 Days)

EX | FEMALE | 18 – 25: Self-assured and reckless. Yu’s ex-girlfriend as well as an ex-punk musician and ex-anarchist. She represents an authority figure to Yu. (3 Days)

ZET | FEMALE | 18 – 25: Quick-witted and big-hearted, she likes to present a tough exterior, but her actions suggest otherwise. (2 Days)

FAE | FEMALE | 18 – 25: Beneath her delicate dreamy demeanour she is as solid as a rock and highly intelligent. (2 Days)

SHA | FEMALE | 18 – 25: Both enigmatic and beautiful. She gives off an unearthly aura. (2 Days)
